The Optus ‘2 for 1 Movie Fun' offer allows eligible customers to purchase ‘2 for 1 Movie Fun’ vouchers every day for the cost of one standard adult movie ticket, plus a $2.50 admin fee per transaction. We may waive the admin fee from time to time. You can purchase movie vouchers until your unique code expires.

The voucher is valid for use at Hoyts cinemas and other selected independent cinemas. Your ‘2 for 1 Movie Fun’ voucher allows you to get two Movie Vouchers for the price of one standard adult Movie Voucher at participating cinemas for all session times except after 5pm on Saturdays. There are two ways:

  1. Receive a ‘2 for 1 Movie Fun’ unique code on selected Optus Prepaid Mobiles or Prepaid Mobile Broadband packs; or

  2. Receive an ‘Optus Movies 2 for 1’ unique code either via SMS, MMS, email or Postcard from Optus.

During each day of the code validity period, you can make 1 transaction and buy up to 5 ‘2 For 1 Movie Fun’ vouchers, which is a total of 10 individual movie vouchers.

Depending on the cinema you choose, the ‘2 for 1 Movie Fun’ vouchers may be delivered via email and in some cases delivered by post.

Each of your movie vouchers is valid for 3 months from date of purchase. The expiry date is also printed on your movie voucher if you are unsure.

Unfortunately the cinemas do not recognise the unique code. To purchase your ‘2 for 1 Movie Fun’ vouchers, you will need to purchase your movie vouchers via the website and exchange them for tickets at your chosen cinema.

Your code may not be working for a couple of reasons:

  1. You may have entered it incorrectly, so please try it a couple more times just in case.

  2. Your ‘2 for 1 Movie Fun’ movie fun may have unfortunately come to an end and your code has expired.

You sure can. When you are purchasing your ‘2 for 1 Movie Fun’ vouchers you are given the option to gift the vouchers to that someone special. If you have selected postal vouchers, then we can send the movie vouchers directly to the lucky person. For eVouchers we will email the vouchers to you and you can send them on to your friend or loved one.

The prices of movie vouchers dependent on the participating cinema. Your ‘2 for 1 Movie Fun’ voucher allows you to get two movie vouchers for the price of one standard adult movie ticket (which means you can then get one standard adult movie ticket at the cinema and an additional adult ticket for free).

If you have chosen to receive your movie voucher via email, it can take up to 20 minutes for the vouchers to be emailed to you. If you haven’t received them after this time, we recommend checking your Junk Email. If you still require further help please contact our Help & Support desk on 1800 852 821. The opening hours are Monday – Friday 9.30am – 5.30pm and Saturday – Sunday 10am – 4pm (AEST), excluding public holidays.

When you purchase your ‘2 for 1 Movie Fun’ vouchers we will send you two single movie vouchers. You can head to the cinema by yourself and use just the one voucher, or you can share the fun of movies with your friend, a family member, or that someone special. The choice is yours.

You can contact our Help & Support Team, TLC Customer Service (promotional partner of Optus) directly on optusmovies241@tlcmarketing.com and your enquiry will be responded to within 2 business days. In most cases the eVouchers can be reissued.

Unfortunately in most instances unique codes cannot be reissued. Contact our Help & Support Team though on optusmovies241@tlcmarketing.com and provide them with your registered email address and they will do their best to locate your unique code and provide it to you.

I have received my Optus Movie 2 for 1 movie vouchers, now how do I redeem them for movie tickets?

When you receive your Optus 2 for 1 Movie Vouchers you can redeem them:

  • Online – Only available for Hoyts Cinemas.

    1. You can visit the Hoyts website – www.hoyts.com.au

    2. Select your cinema/movie/session

    3. In the section titled 'Redeem Vouchers' which is the first selection on the page, enter the 'Voucher Number' and 'PIN' shown on your movie voucher.

  • At the Cinema – Available for Hoyts & Independent cinemas

    Take your Optus Movie Voucher to the cinema and exchange it for a movie ticket for your selected movie and session.

    Remember, if you have received your vouchers via email you need to print them off before you head to the cinema.
